Chaos of Wedding Planning

So it has been a little over a week now that we have been engaged and it has been crazy! From deciding on a beach house to who will be invited to registry! BUT even though it has been crazy, it has been very exciting! So far we have decided on Aqua and Platinum for our wedding colors and gotten registered with Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We have also decided on a beach home in Fort Morgan. Finding the beach home has been the most difficult. At first we were just looking around to see what our options were and then once we would find something we liked, it would end up not working out. So then we finally found a place in Gulf Shores, but then found out the HORRIFYING news that there was going to be a music festival in town that weekend.....SOOOO we ended up deciding to move farther out to Fort Morgan to be away from all the traffic and commotion. Then we found this immaculate home that is going to be so perfect!
        I have met with bridesmaids and decided on a bachelorette party! Looks like New Orleans will have their hands full when that comes around in May! After meeting with the girls last night and discussing the bachelorette party and bridesmaids dresses, it finally hit me! I AM GETTING MARRIED! I am just so lucky!
        I have also decided on a catered  shrimp boil for the rehearsal dinner and a BBQ reception menu provided by Blake's parents and my dad and Judy. The one struggle that I have probably had so far is realizing that this is about Blake and I, not everyone else. I keep trying to do what I think will make everyone else happy and what everyone else would want when really I need to do what I want! Blake and I are going to have a WONDERFUL wedding and it is going to be the best day of my life and the best day of his life. We are in this for the long run and I couldn't be more thrilled than to do life with him! ❤

      So last night the bridesmaids and I went to David's Bridal in search of bridesmaids' dresses. Needless to say, we had no trouble finding dresses because in a matter of an hour and a half, we got bridesmaids' dresses and also MY DRESS! That's right! Marriage Is Just Around The Corner

        With the wedding day only 34 days away, it is nice to be able to sit back as everything is completed but minor things. Every little detail is coming together nicely and Blake and I are just ecstatic about this next chapter! There have been a lot of plan changes and believe me when I say this: "when you are planning a wedding, the unexpected will always happen." You need to be prepared to understand that SOMETHING will always happen that forces things to not go according to plan. But in the end, it will all be an obstacle that you had to conquer in order to have your big day! Blake and I have both been looking for new jobs post- graduation and getting ready to move out of our apartment. We both agree that this next chapter is definitely going to be our favorite.

We are ENGAGED!

      On July 3rd, 2016, Blake proposed to me and it was the most perfect moment of my life. We were at my dad's marina, The Point, celebrating the 4th of July with food, fun, and friends. It was not like any other day because Blake had sprung out of bed with an exciting aurora about him. I got up right after him and decided that I should probably get ready and start helping my Dad and Judy get everything ready for lunch at The Point. Once we got down there, I noticed that Blake was content and keeping to himself and after asking him if everything was okay a million times, I realized that it was not out of the ordinary for him to be sitting back and staying to himself.           Then, right when I was getting ready to ask him if he was getting ready to go home, my sister showed up.
